Our property Golf D-2 is located on a modern golf and country club development, known as “Golf Panoramica”. It is less than fifteen minutes drive from the typically Spanish seaside resort of Vinaros, with the larger towns/resorts of Benicarlo and Peniscola within 20-25 minutes’ drive. The climate is temperate (ideal for playing golf), becoming hot in the summer months (up to 30C by early afternoon), but with a pleasant breeze either coming off the sea or off the mountains, and typically 10-15C through the winter. The breezes do bring occasional cloud and rain, but then it keeps the area looking lush and green.
The Golf Panoramica resort is just a few kilometres off the arterial AP7/E15 coastal motorway; airports at Barcelona (2 hours), Valencia (1-2 hours) and Reus (1 hour) are all within easy access by motorway. The resort complex is set in a rolling agricultural landscape of mainly orange groves and olive trees, with a backdrop of rugged mountains and small villages dotted amongst the expansive orange and olive groves. It is a short drive to a choice of several small typically-Spanish seaside resorts - from Alcanar, Carlas de Rapitas and Vinaros with their fishing fleets and early-morning markets, beaches and promenades with cafes and bars, to the more lively resorts of Benicarlo and Peniscola. All feature excellent seafood restaurants - specialising in shellfish, crustaceans and seafish of all varieties. The views from the house are magnificent, both inland to the backdrop of the Puertos de Beseit mountain range and National Park, out to the coast, and across hectares of orange groves and ancient plantings of olive trees. Many of the local villages, and also the fishing resorts, feature summer festivals at Sant Jordi and Moreira.Further afield, there are leisure attractions at Oropesa and Benicassim, as well as at Reus, with ancient towns/cities to explore at Castellon and Valencia to the south, and Tarragona and Barcelona to the north - all easily accessed via the AP7 coastal motorway. Details on all these are available on information kept at the house, together with local maps and guides.
