Camping Le Chaponnet is a 4 star site, ideal for families with children. It boasts a large outdoor pool with slides , as well as a good indoor pool with childrens Jacuzzi.

There is a large children's play area, extra large bouncy castle, games room, table tennis, and tennis courts as well as a multi play arena. Good entertainment most days in July and August. The site is just a few minutes walk away from a large supermarket, shops, bars and cafes. The beautiful beaches are a good 20 minutes walk away, or 7 minutes by car with free parking. The site also run a free bus service in July and August to and from the beaches. This is a medium sized site in the heart of a very pretty French village, but only 15 -20 minutes drive from the very popular large resort of Les Sables d'Olonne. Also close to St Jean de Monts.

This is a great area for cycling - the Vendee velo cycle route runs through this area with designated cycle paths, and being pretty flat this is a good way of seeing some of the surrounding countryside.

The site has a large bar overlooking the pools, and has a restaurant and a take away service. The pool area has recently been upgraded with new surface and colourful sun loungers.

Gas barbecues are allowed on individual plots, and these can be hired from our couriers on site.

The site is very popular with French, English, Irish and Dutch families. Because this is a medium sized site, and family orientated, it is not as rowdy and noisy as some of the bigger sites in the Vendee.

Our homes are modern 2 and 3 bedroomed cottage style homes, mostly with open or semi-covered verandas, and are located at the quieter end of the site on sandy emplacements.

All our homes have full sized cookers, microwaves and come with either large fridges or fridge freezers.

We also have a linen hire service for your convenience. Barbecues, cots and highchairs can be hired for a small fee.

English TV with freesat channels are also available for hire.

We do allow a well behaved pet in our homes.

We can also get a 20% discount off the cost of Britanny ferry travel for our customers.
