The spacious accommodation is on 2 floors with 2 bedrooms & a bathroom on the 1st floor & a sitting room, dining room, kitchen & shower room on the ground floor. The attic bedroom & shower room are not available within the price range quoted but if required an additional charge will be made.. Although the tariffs are all inclusive during the summer months(June - August) at all other times of the year a charge will be made for fuel oil if the central heating is used.

There are extensive gravel terraces to the front & rear where garden chairs & tables are available for enjoying ones meals outside or on the lawn under the shade of the apple trees. A BBQ is available but charcoal is not supplied & there is a boule set for playing boule on the terraces infront or behind the house. At the rear of the house at the kitchen end is a decked roof terrace where drinks can be taken in the evening watching the sunset.
There is an English caretaker who lives within 10 minutes driving distance who is able to deal with any problems & advise guests about any of the equipment in the house.
If required a cleaner can be made available by arrangement with the caretaker.
Please note that the rent for the house in the summer months is all inclusive which means there are no extras for heat,light, linen & firewood. When central heating is required in the spring or autumn months there is an additional charge for heating oil whose cost depends on the price charged by the supplier at the time.
This southern part of Normandy is very rural with livestock farming being the principal agricultural activity. The countyryside is hilly with many small fields surrounded by banks of trees & dotted with woodland. The climate is similar to that of southern England & temperatures in the summer can reach 30C(86F).
Due to the excellent roads of this region it is easy to visit places of interest in a day such as the medieval town of Domfront(13k), Falaise the birthplace of William the Conqueror(57k), Mont St Michel(67k) & Bayeux to see the famous tapestry(82k).
Flers(15km) is the nearest major commercial & shopping centre with several large supermarkets plus a street & covered market twice weekly for local produce, swimming pool, bowling alley, wine cellar & a variety of good restaurants. There is good local shopping at Tinchebray(10km) with an excellent supermarket & 24 hour filling station. Nearby in the village of St Cornier des Landes(3km) there is a mini-supermarket with its own butchery, bakery & wine cellar.
