HILLCREST COTTAGE interior has been lovingly furnished by the Designer owner. The kitchen/dining area is spacious and well equipped, but with quirky twists bought from local vintage marketsmixing old with the new. The log burner in the lounge adds a cosy glow on winters evenings.

The main bedroom has double doors opening onto a balcony where you can enjoy the sun or sparkling lights along the valley by night -"ROMANTIC HEAVEN" . The cottage is characterful and welcoming, well equipped and well loved! Well behaved children are welcome but they must be supervised at all times.

The main bedroom is spacious with a kingsize bed with pocket sprung mattress, a 5 seater corner sofa and tv area with double patio doors out onto the balcony with those glorious views.

The smaller twin bedded room also has pocket sprung mattresses for comfort and a good nights sleep. It feels light and airy and has window views .

It is isnt large but it does have a shaped bath to accommodate an over shower and has a curved glass splash panel a toilet and basin and a table for flanels etc.

The open plan kitchen /dining area is spacious, making it pleasurable to cook and be sociable at the same time. Dishwasher , microwave , toaster, full size fridge and freezer, washing machine ,cooker, hand held whisk, iron etc etc... all the equipment to would expect with out being a slave to the kitchen! Spacious eating area for up to 6( if you have friends joining you in the day) The VIEWS are out of the double patio doors and front door onto to a well kept garden and magnificent views beyond....lovely with doors open in the summer.

The lounge has seating for 4.

It has log burner and we provide the 1st bag of brickets from October to April. The cottage has central heating too.

There is a TV with freeview , ipod docking station and shared wifi available.

The guests garden is infront of the cottage, as seen in the pictures and ends at the edge of the BBQ terrace.

The garden is mainly "decorative" so we ask that football and cricket etc be played in the lovely childrens park, 3 minutes walk away( with zip wire).

The Cotswolds region

Known as the undiscovered Cotswolds , this area of the Cotswolds is known as a well kept secret , cherished by those who live here and loved by those who experience it.! A very arty ecclectic mix of people live here and those with an entreprenurial spirit .. you never know what amazing small business you may find tucked away. STEPPING OUT for a walk to the 600 acres of NT common land where cows roam freely from May to October across the public golf course too..

The STUNNING VIEWS everywhere will just dominate your stay, none more than from the cottage itself .

An excellen choice of good EATING OUT in pub/restaurants with open fires and a very friendly community to welcome you. Loads of my personal jottings about where to go locally for eating ,drinking ,walking, visiting in the cottage with loads of pics....When the canal eventually completes its restoration to Brimscombe Port it will be AMAZING!!This is a very arty area of the Cotswolds with numerous arts, music and food festivals taking place throughout the year. The world famous Cheese Roll and Tetbury Woolsack Races, Gatcombe and Badminton Horse trials, Cheltenham Race festival too. The beautiful Westonbirt Arboretum, Berkley Castle, both with special events and open air concerts.

BRIMSCOMBE PORT is below us and was once known worldwide as exporter of top quality wool from the Cotswolds, today it is undergoing the very start of restoration, eventually to make the local canals navigable again and finally to link the River Severn to the River Thames, making England navigable by water from west to east!

We have gardens and castles, shopping centres or for antiques and architectural salvage, but are roughly central in the Cotswolds for Bath, Cheltenham, Oxford, Stow, Burford, Cirencester etc

We are happy to help guide /book events for you to help you get the most out of yourstay at our cottages.

The award winning Farmers Market just 2 miles away in Stroud every Saturday is a brilliant start to any holiday, buzzing with vibrance and atmosphere you will absolutely love it.. Excellent base for a Cotswolds wedding with what must be the best scenery in the Cotswolds, amazing walks with something around every corner!

Ideal location for Gatcombe and Badminton eventing, riding ,gliding, ballooning, waterskiing on lakes, clay pigeon shooting, arts and crafts courses, antiques trail etc - we can help to organise all these for you and much more.
