Chiang Mai

There is loads of places to eat, shop and see in and around Nimmanhaemin which in my opinion is the best place to live/stay in Chiang Mai.

It is centrally located and as such, to walk to the gate at Suthep road (Old City) it would take about 15 mins or 3-5 mins on a scooter.

Night Bazaar would be a 10 min scooter ride depending on traffic. You could walk here but as it is on the other side of the old city may take 30 minutes plus.

If you'd rather not scooter, you also have the Tuk Tuk option and there is a depot at the end of the lane on Nimmanhaemin Rd.
