Torrita is a beautiful two floor appartment next to the Torrita Tiberina Castle perfect for a quiet relaxing retreat in the outskirts of Rome. The house is fully equipped and in a lovely location a few mins walk from the Tevere Farfa reservoir, ideal spot for bird watching. It is only one hours drive to the center of rome so an ideal location for those who want to visit rome but also get to know the beauties of the Tevere valley.
The flat has its own indipendant entrance and has a living room with kitchen on the first floor and a large double bedroom with toliet on the second floor.
Appliences include oven, hairdryer, blender , washing machine, and all kitchen and toiet equippment. Laundry for kitchen and bathroom is also provided.
With a few mins drive you can reach the Farfa Abbey, S.Oreste and mount Soratte, The S. Andrea in Flumine Abbey and other historic sites of the region.
From the station of Fara Sabina , only a few mins drive away you can take a train right into the canter of Rome, to Trastevere train station. Trains leave every 15 mins on week days and every 30 mins at weekends.

The Lazio region

The Sabine hill region is in the northern area of Lazio, towards Umbria and is welll known tourist destination for nature lovers, bird watching and cycling and walking holidays. It is has many medieval villages and castles due to its position in the Tiber valley. One of the most well known tourist attractions is the Farfa Abbey, only a few minuites drive from the Torrita house,..one of the best preserved of its kind and still looked after by the monks who prepare and sell their cosmetics and medicines.
The Natural Reserve of Tevere Farfa, where the house is situated, is a is a bird haven with bird watching spots and walking paths along the river.
Rome is an hours drive just along the highway, entrance of which is a 10 mins drive from Torrita Tiberina.


The Village of Torrita is small but has everything you need for your stay. You can walk to a little supermarket, to the bread shop, to the butcher post office caffe' ect. With a mins drive you can reach an organic farm shop and larger supermarket for a bigger shop. There are nice little restaurants in the area..one in the village castle!
