From Spring Cottage you can enjoy uninterrupted foot paths and bridleways to the hope valley, kinder and the surrounding peaks, as well as the open access national trust on the relatively 'undiscovered by tourists' hill of Eccles Pike which forms the back drop to the Cottage.
