Spring comes early and temperatures can be in the 20's from March onwards: the skies are a piercing blue while the migrating birds pass overhead. Summer sees temperatures peaking on occasions up to 40 degrees, when, thankfully, the pool is there to keep you cool! Autumn is another wonderful time of the year in this Perigord region when colours of the autumn trees and hedgerows are exceptionally beautiful and the days are warm but the nights take on a chilly air. Even winter brings a quiet and sometimes cold air, misty days where the scent of burning oak hangs over the valleys until the sun burns through the winter skies and Spring is just around the corner.Activities : BEACHES AND WATER PARK: River beaches: Aubeterre which is Approx 20 miles away has a lovely river beach with grassed play area, cafe and restaurant. St Aulaye (20 miles) has the same, together with water slides! Water park: 40 mins away in Augouleme, Nautilis water park with 50m indoor pools, diving pools, outdoor and indoor slides, wave machines. Large lake for fishing & water sports.
