Located in the heart of the 9th district, on the hip and busy rue des Martyrs, this beautiful apartment has been decorated with an eye for detail, featuring well-chosen art work and contemporary furniture.
Typical of the Haussmannian architecture, with its elegant wooden floor, high ceilings, mouldings, large fireplaces, and big windows, it comprises a lobby, a bright living room with 2 comfortable double sofa beds, a dining table and chairs, a bedroom with a double bed and spacious closets, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a tub, a separate wc/powder room.
Despite being located in one of the "bohemian-bourgeois" hotspots of the city, the apartment is very quiet at night as it overlooks a beautiful private courtyard and not the street.
There is a concierge in attendance on the building at all times.
The nearest Metro station (Notre-Dame-de-Lorette) is 2 mn away and every tourist site can be reached walking.
Bikes (Vélib) can be easily rented in the street for a few euros a day.
The Gare du Nord (Eurostar; for trains from England, Belgium and Holland) is only a 10/15 mn walk away.
The Gare de l'Est (Luxembourg and Germany) is a 10 mn taxi ride away (or a 20 mn walk away).
The Gare de Lyon (Switzerland and Italy) is 30 mn away by subway.
The Gare Montparnasse (Spain) is 20/25 mn away by subway (and direct to Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, the nearest Metro station).
The Roissy/Charles de Gaulle airport is a 45 mn taxi ride (45/80 euros, according to time and traffic) or a 1h train ride away (through Gare du Nord, RER C, 9.10 euros/person).
The Orly airport is a 45 mn taxi ride (45/80 euros) or a 1h15 mn train ride away.

Situated on the upscale rue des Martyrs, it's particularly close to Montmartre (you can see the Sacré Coeur from the doorstep and the Moulin Rouge is 5 mn away) and the famous Opéra Garnier (very close itself to the Musee du Louvre); There you can enjoy the shopping mecca of Galeries Lafayette and Printemps, and the luxury jewellery stores from rue de la Paix and Place Vendôme, among many others.
The rue des Martyrs is lined with traditional food stores (boulangeries, patisseries, chocolatiers, charcuteries, boucheries, wine cellars, fromagers), fruits and vegetables stores, organic food stores, trendy cafes and restaurants.
The nearby theaters and museums (I strongly recommend the Musée National Gustave Moreau, a hidden gem of a museum, formerly the artist's home and studio, and the Musée de la vie Romantique, where you can enjoy tea in the little, old fashioned garden, away from the hustle and bustle of the city streets) make the whole neighborhood very lively.
