We have three ancient cottages that are gently nestled in woodland, within a tranquil hamlet and have many original features including roman roof tiles, huge beams and authentic stone work. Planche Cottages are dwellings suited for couples....which can transform into one big house for families, groups or friends sharing.
Barefoot Cottage entertains a voluminous, well equipped kitchen that leads out to the garden where eating alfresco is inescapable. Lovely long french farm table allows you to cook, dine, spread out the sunday papers or just be artistically creative! The kitchen sink window over looks a valley of forest, farm land and lovely old roman roof tiles. A lovely deep sofa and a wood burning stove make this room complete for any time of year. There are two floors that give you an area of 60 meters squared.
Upstairs; a double bedroom with window facing the leafy garden, bathroom with bath and shower and large antique mirror.
Amenities and Facilities: hob/stove oven fridge/freezer microwave dishwasher washing machine iron/ironing board Tv for use with DVD only internet access room fans pool.
The grounds are a web of pathways leading to secluded places such as the hammocks and magical places to unwind. We are completely private, perfect to take in the hush of nature and valley beyond.
We are blessed with many great attractions, many good restaurants just minutes away, city escapes with beautiful classical architecture like Bordeaux, Perigueux, Bergerac to mention just a few . We have white sandy beaches of the lake at La Jemaye for swimming.
There are lovely walks in the area, but perhaps our favorite is the 25 minute walk to our local restaurant where we can reward ourselves with a coffee or a delicious meal. We have WIFI in all our cottages.
You will have a lot of space to retreat from the busy markets and beach rivers and it is quiet.
Each cottage has it's own outdoor area as well as the deck which is a cool 'under-the-trees' hang out. We have lots of homely comforts, a range of outdoor seats and umbrellas for the beach, and a library of different books to borrow. Here are some views of the garden, deck and pool designed to be shared by the three cottages and when a group books the whole house, they obviously get it all to themselves.
We welcome naturalists and bird or nature observers,
Our garden is really special. There are many different species of birds, animals and insects that inhabit it. We welcome naturalists, bird watchers and emtimologists.

The caves are also a favorite we are steeped in medieval history, (the caves about an hour away).
