Set in the large garden of Lower Trevorgus House, Lower Trevorgus Garden Cottage is located in a tranquil rural setting within walking distance from the village of St Merryn and a short drive from the famous Seven Bays of the North Cornwall Coast. The cottage is a great base for fabulous coastal walks and enjoying nearby beaches (Constantine, Harlyn, Trevose, Porthcothan, etc). It's ten minutes drive from Padstow with its harbour, restaurants and shops and a walk away from Rick Stein's Cornish Arms pub.

The biggest attraction of North Cornwall is undoubtedly its spectacular coastline. We are handily located to enjoy such beautiful beaches as Constantine Bay, Treyarnon, Porthcothan, Booby's Bay, Harlyn and Trevose - all within a few miles. Try surfing, bodyboarding or paddle boarding, have a game of golf at the links course at Trevose Golf Club, climb down (and up!) the Bedruthen Steps and explore the beaches and caves there, admire the stunning scenery on walks along the Coastal Path or just relax and enjoy an ice cream on the beach!
Padstow is only a few miles away and there is always lots to do at this busy and very attractive harbour town with its many restaurants and shops. Try mackerel fishing or other boat trips from Padstow harbor, hire bikes and cycle the Camel Trail to Wadebridge (another lovely town) or even Bodmin, learn to waterski, visit the Lobster Hatchery or indulge in a meal out at Stein's famous Seafood Restaurant or Paul Ainsworth's No. 6. A short ferry ride from Padstow across the estuary brings you to Rock with its sailing school and yet another beautiful beach. A walk along the coast from Rock will take you to the once buried church at St Enodoc and Michelin starred chef Nathan Outlaw's restaurant at the St Enodoc Hotel.
Newquay, with its renowned surfing at Fistral Beach, and Watergate Bay, home of Jamie Oliver's restaurant, Fifteen, are both a short drive of less than 10 miles away. Also easy to get to in the car are St Ives, home of the Tate Gallery, and The Eden Project. Well within a day trip are the famous Lost Gardens of Heligan or Truro, Cornwall's historic county town.
We are located in a peaceful setting just outside the busy village of St Merryn. The centre of the village is a 5-10 minute walk away and so very handy for popping to the shops for groceries, beach gear, petrol, newspapers and Malcolm Barnecutt's wonderful pasties. The village has a smattering of restaurants and cafes, a fish and chip shop and a pub in the centre. Rick Stein's Cornish Arms pub serves food and is 5 minutes walk outside the village.
The famous Seven Bays of St Merryn - Porthcothan, Treyarnon, Constantine Bay, Booby's Bay, Mother Ivy's Bay, Harlyn and Trevone - are all only a short drive away. We also love going to Bedruthen Steps, which is 10-15 minutes drive away.
Padstow is 3 miles away and, apart from the obvious attractions of the harbour with its restaurants and shops, has a Boots and a Tescos supermarket. There is also a good farm shop just outside the town, off the road from St Merryn.
Wadebridge is another attractive, larger, town which, as well as being enjoyable to wander around, has supermarkets, chemists, hardware shop, etc.
