This house is perfect for those who seek space & quiet relaxation, is right next to a supermarket & a fresh food market. Within easy reach of the financial district. Some nearby attractions: 1) "Artist's House" which sits on a lovely canal (dine on great, inexpensive homemade Thai food, enjoy lovely paintings on display, watch talented artists bring puppets "to life" with no admission charged - of course, if one should feel generous enough to help a good cause.....), 2) "Talad Phlu" (once a very important food market where many vendors went in the early morning hours to buy their fresh ingredients to prepare the foods they were to sell that day. Today, a lot of Thais still frequent this small market which has restaurants & shops that make very good food & Thai desserts, 3) "Wat Parg Naam", not too far from Talad Phlu, is a temple that houses the life size statue of the famous Venerable Abbot, "Luang Por Soed", made from pure gold. Spend some time in the museum within the temple compound to discover more about Buddhism & perhaps meditation.
Rama 3 Road, where the Townhouse is, is about 20 minutes away from the CBD, about 30 minutes from five star hotels like the Oriental & the Shangri-la, and from Embassies & great Restaurants. It stands between "Thonburi, the old city of Bangkok" to the right & the current Bangkok City to the left. The area has many attractions that still have not been graced by many tourists, such as "the Artist's House" - a place where one can watch a wonderful puppet show while sipping a cup of Thai or Arabica coffee, or run through their art displays; a fantastic place to while away a perfectly relaxing afternoon. One might not wish to be right in the middle of the hustle & bustle of the city; this area is close enough yet very relaxing.
