Charming Sixteenth century cottage on the edge of the Babington House estate in Somerset. Less than half an hour into Bath with all amenities and Georgian splendour, ten minutes into arty Frome and a hop into perfect English village Mells. Babington House (Soho House group) is 5 mins walk down a beautiful footpath, so the cottage is perfect if you are attending a social event there or for members.
The cottage is newly renovated blending original features (curious windows, beams, etc) and mod cons. Very light, airy and spacious reception rooms and four good sized double bedrooms (two double, two twins, master en-suite). Easy to get to but gloriously remote, with only one property within a quarter mile. Marvellous views across the fields, peace and harmony at your fingertips. Enclosed and private garden, mainly lawn with seating areas, hammock and BBQ. Lovely wood burners for those winter evenings.
Great for visiting West Country tourist attractions or just chilling out in the country. There are country pubs within walking and cycling distance. Bicycles, table tennis, books and games provided. Off road cycle track along an old railway line within a mile.

Longleat safari park is even closer and other local highlights include Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole Caves and - a little bit further - Stonehenge, or the Somerset or Dorset coasts, or just enjoy the peace and quiet locally and spend the time walking, cycling and visiting the local pubs. The trendy market town Frome is 4 miles away, charming Bradford on Avon, ten miles. Beautiful gardens at Iford, Stourhead, and Prior Park.
Peaceful rural West country location in the Mendip Hills. Bath, Frome, Glastonbury, Castle Cary, Wells are all within 20 miles. Babington House is literally next door. Also lots of walks, an off-road cycling track (plus lots of hills for serious cyclists), plus nearby fishing and diving. Three pubs are a 5 minute drive or 30 minute walk across the fields. The nearest village is Mells, which is charming with a community shop and cafe, a walled garden cafe (and plant nursery) and the Talbot pub.
