Betws Yn Rhos is a lovely picturesque village located just 3 miles inland from Abergele town. Bluebell cottage is just minutes from the North Wales coast and offers easy access to the A55 expressway which links users quickly to Chester or Conwy.
North Wales has a great variety of activities to offer visitors to the area including numerous outdoor activities for all abilities such as climbing, walking, cycling, rafting, shooting, skiing fishing and riding. There are a number of places of historical interest located within a few minutes drive from our cottages including castles and museums, plenty of wildlife centres, zoo's and conservation areas, indoor and outdoor craft and activity centres, shops, markets, restaurants and theatres plus miles and miles of beautiful coastline and countryside just waiting to be explored.
Bluebell cottage is our pet friendly cottage and is one of 4 holiday cottages on the property which have been tastefully converted from an original stone granary into comfortable self catering holiday accommodation, with 3 bedrooms and a family toilet and shower room , Bluebell cottage has an open plan living and dining area with seating for 5 plus a high chair if required and a fully equipped kitchen. Bed linen, towels and electricity are included for all guests and we also include crockery, cups, plates cutlery, kitchen utensils, a toaster, kettle, microwave, TV with freeview & DVD Player. There are a washing machine and tumble dryer on site which guests are welcome to use (for a small fee). Each cottage has 1 double room, 1 twin room and 1 single room, we can also provide a baby cot, potty, high chair, bath and stair gates if required (cot linen is not provided).
Bluebell cottage is located on a 25 Acre farm with a private drive way and safe off road parking. The farm is no longer a working farm although the fields are rented to a local farmer for grazing sheep. We also have our own pet sheep, geese and minature pigs which are very popular with guests. There are almost a mile of country paths located on the property which guests are welcome to enjoy at their leisure. Our guests are also invited to use our wildlife area and fishing ponds where many wild animals, birds and insects can be seen all year round. (coarse fishing- free of charge to cottage guests, bait and rods not available on site)

For those interested in taking things a little slower North Wales has a wealth of history connected to its castles, mountains and market towns with a number of dedicated museums and gardens just waiting to be explored as well as a number of great shopping centres, restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets.
We are host to a number of art and food festivals farming shows and town fairs throughout the year.
The Welsh mountain zoo, Anglesey sea zoo, Sealife centre Rhyl and RSPB nature reserve are firm favourites with animal lovers and are all within easy reach.
The famous Mount Snowdon can be seen from our farm as it towers over Snowdonia national park. The rooftop of Wales is just a short car journey away. But don't worry if you don't fancy climbing to the top you can take advantage of the regular train service that runs right to the summit.
North Wales has a number of indoor and outdoor activity centres for big and little children alike, Swimming, Ten pin bowling, Cinema and Theatre shows are very popular all year round. The Historic town of Chester is just a short car or train journey away with a whole range of market stalls, museums and shops for you to enjoy or perhaps you would prefer a short boat ride down the river Dee? Whatever you like to do on Holiday we're sure you will love doing it in North Wales.
Our cottages are located in the courtyard of our family farm and have all been converted from an original stone granary which dates back to the mid 1700's. The cottages stand at the head of a private driveway off a quite country lane with private parking on site for guests.
Pen y Bryn Farm has been our family home for over 15 years and we have been letting our cottages out since we first came here in the 1990's. Pen Y Bryn is no longer a working farm but it is used by a local farmer to graze his sheep. We have around a mile of pathways on the property for guests to enjoy at your leisure and a traditional duck pond in the farmyard which makes a perfect picnic spot. We also have a dedicated wildlife area with fishing ponds on site which guests are welcome to use free of charge (bait and rods not available n site)
Pen Y Bryn farm is a 25 acre farm based in Betws Yn Rhos, a small parish town just 3 miles inland from the market town of Abergele. We are just 3.5 miles inland from A55 Junction 24 which provides easy access to North Wales and Chester.
There are a number of activities very close by including fishing (on site and locally), golf (minutes walk) and paint balling (5 minute drive). We are just a few minutes drive from Bodelwyddan Castle, which is host to a number of fairs and events throughout the year. Abergele & Pensarn train station is just 10 minutes drive and is located on the sea front at Pensarn which is very popular with visitors to the area. There is a dedicated cycle track which runs through Abergele and Pensarn allowing you to cycle all the way over to Rhyl or Llandudno via Colwyn bay and take in the stunning coastal views.
