The Provence region

Tourrettes sur Loup is also an excellent starting point for exploring the area. You have about 20 golf courses within 1 hours drive. For shopping, you have Cannes, Nice and Antibes nearby. Every Friday, you can visit the large market in Ventimiglia (Italy) only 70 km away. For a day trip, we can recommend Saint Tropez or a visit to Gorges de Verdon, the grand canyon of Southern France

Tourrettes sur Loup is a charming old town in the central Cote d'Azur of the southern France. It is ideally situated for exploration of the surrounding area: Nice, Cannes, Saint Tropez, Grasse and Antibes. Distance is about 20 minutes from Nice airport and 15 km from the Mediterranean.
The old town centre has been preserved, with its narrow crooked streets, fountains and flowers.
Walking around the ancient streets and looking at the walls and houses is a trip through time. You will enjoy the many shops selling local crafts and art.

There are many small, cozy restaurants and the restaurant “Clovis” has earned a Michelin star. If you're a food lover, there are 8 Michelin starred restaurants within a 10 km range, but also a large number of other restaurants for every taste and budget.

Every Wednesday the town centre is transformed into a traditional Provence market, where one can buy almost anything.

In the neighborhood we recommend a visit to Chapelle du Rosaire, decorated by Matisse in the city of Vence. From the top of Col de Vence (970 m) there is a unique view over the Alps to the Mediterranean Sea. Also the perfume factories in Grasse is worth a visit, you can even create your own perfume in one of the workshop sessions.

If you are a keen walker the area is full of opportunities - either in the winding roads and lanes above the village, or, for the more adventurous, in the steep hills up above the town.
