Swallow Barn has recently been converted and furnished to a very high standard. This lovely blue lias stone barn is ideally situated for country walks and cycle routes across the Somerset levels an area well known for its stunning scenery and wide diversity of wildlife. Being under two hours from the outskirts of London, and only 15 minutes from junction 23 of the M5 we are ideal for shorter breaks as well as longer holidays.

Many well known attractions are close by including Glastonbury, the cathedral town of Wells, Wookey Hole, Fleet Air Arm Museum, Hayes Motor Museum, Clarks Village at Street and many National Trust Houses and Gardens. The historic town of Langport is only 2 miles away.

The barn sleeps 2 adults plus 1 small child, it comprises of an open plan living room with under floor heating, a lovely natural slate floor and a wood burner for cosy winter nights in, all logs are provided, Wall mounted television with DVD, free view and radio. WiFi. The modern and well-equipped kitchen is oak with beautiful granite worktops. Comfy leather couch with foot stool and dining area with oak table. A high chair and cot are available on request.

A wooden staircase leads up to a very spacious double bedroom with plenty of room for a travel cot or toddler bed. This beautiful room has an oak floor and retains a stone character wall with original timbers. There is a large comfy super king bed. There is built in hanging space and an oak door leading to a large ensuite bathroom. Wall mounted TV with DVD, Freeview and radio..

Swallow Barn is on a small farm accessed by quiet country lanes. The barn and large fenced garden are very private. A lovely sunny patio with garden furniture for summer alfresco eating. A secluded decking area for sunning yourself. The garden has a large lawned area safe for small children. Plenty of parking.

Attached to the barn are two utility sheds, one housing a washer dryer and additional fridge and a reclaimed sink. A secure shed for golf clubs, fishing tackle, cycles etc. Both sheds can be locked.

The west country is a beautiful rural location comprising some of the most idyllic landscapes including hills, moors and wetlands all of which are full of fascinating and stunning wildlife.
Away from the wildlife there are great places of historical interest to visit including the spa town of Bath, the cathedral city of Wells and the mystical town of Glastonbury home to the world renowned musical festival. Fantastic shopping bargains can be found at the Clarks shopping village at Street or Cribbs Causeway near Bristol. If it is sea and sand you are looking for then the seaside towns of Lyme Regis and Weymouth are less than an hour away.


Low Ham

Swallow Barn lies in the small village of Low Ham - close to the historic town of Langport and the market town of Somerton, both of which have tea rooms, restaurants and public house offering good food and friendly service.

The fisheries at Somerton and the lakes at Thorney offer a relaxing days fishing or maybe you prefer a quiet day golfing at nearby Wheathill or Long Sutton golf course.

Local attractions include Fleet Air Arm Museum, Haynes Motor Museum, Wookey Hole, Glastonbury Tor and Abbey.

Local sporting attractions include Wincanton and Taunton racecourses providing top class national hunt horseracing , as well as thrilling 20/20 cricket at the County Ground Taunton, the home of Somerset County Cricket club.
