Garden Cottage is one of a group of 5 stone cottages at Town Tenement Farm, converted from a traditional farm in the quiet and peaceful village of Challacombe within the beautiful Exmoor National Park. Garden Cottage is all on one level, ideal for those who may have difficulty with stairs. Garden Cottage is full of charm and character. There is a large living room with exposed beams, a log burning stove, leather seating, 32" Freeview TV and French doors out to a private enclosed patio garden with a picnic table. There are two small bedrooms, a double and a twin, and a wet-room with a shower, hand-basin & WC. Free WiFi.
The beautiful wildlife grounds cover nearly three acres and are ideal for families and dogs. There are several wild-flower meadows, a wildlife pond, many species of trees and shrubs, loads of birds and butterflies, and a delightful walk up and around Humphrey's Hill with lovely views of Exmoor.
The cottages and grounds are very child friendly. We can provide a cot, high chair and fire guard (if required) and within the grounds is a large children's play area comprising two towers linked with a bridge, a swing, slide, climbing board, climbing net, fireman's pole, ladder, periscope and driving wheel. Beside the play area is a sheltered arbour seat with lovely views for the grown-ups.
