Brew Cottage is located in rural Marshside, 6 miles North East of Canterbury and just 1/2 mile from the hamlet of Boyden Gate which boasts a superb country Pub serving good food and traditional ales. Brew Cottage is a delightfully renovated detached cosy cottage believed to have been built in the late 17th century presenting a wealth of original period features, exposed oak beams, exposed timber sloping ceilings, brick inglenook fireplace fitted with a wood burning stove, oil central heating and so forth. It now provides modern facilities with two bedrooms on the first floor, one large twin room , with the facility to have an extra bed if requested, this room has a separate WC and hand basin, the second bedroom has a large double bed. The ground floor has a large fully fitted rural Kitchen with all appliances, a large open Lounge and dining area, a Bathroom, and a Shower room. Outside there is a private patio with wooden bench and seating and a rear private lawned garden area looking out onto apple orchards.The Kitchen is a fitted with washing machine, a tall fridge/ freezer unit, Calor gas hob with all electric oven under, a separate micro wave, a small radio, together with all other kitchen appliances. There is a TV with integral DVD player in the Lounge, plus a supply of books, board games and DVD'sWe are located 6 miles from the historic City Of Canterbury and set within an area of outstanding natural beauty crisscrossed with numerous walking paths and bicycle routes. It's also an area excellent for bird watching and for both sea and fresh water fishing.There are numerous local places of interest to visit including Howletts Zoo, Dover Castle, Manston Airport Spitfire Museum, the Isle of Thanet and the quaint seaside towns of Whitstable and Broadstairs.
Marshside is set in the heart of the Garden of England and is ideal for exploring Kent with its beautiful countryside and many historic towns.London is approximately an hours drive, but there are local train stations nearby if you do not want to drive.It is also ideally situated for easy access to France for day trips, with both Dover and Folkestone ports and the Channel Tunnel, just a short drive away.
