The Villa Valley of the Temples has a stunning position with a view of the ancient Greek Temples in Agrigento. It is near the coastal village of San Leone and the town of Agrigento. I It also has easy access to the main roads leading to the most important attractions and other big cities. It has a lot of open space and terraces where you can enjoy the evening summer breeze after a relaxing day at sea. The house is very comfortable and clean with a spacious living room and a well equipped kitchen. The garden, with deckchairs and beach umbrellas, here and there is full of trees ( lemon , medlar, mulberry ) and flowers. There is a Gazebo with chairs and a table. If you don't want to drive, the bus stop is just outside the gate and you can reach supermarkets the bakers, the grocers , the fishmongers... or the post office within a short walk. You can enjoy a ride with our bikes, without any charge, at the seafront where there are bars, pizza and ice cream parlours, restaurants and shops. Life is not expensive and you can cook yourself tasty meals in our kitchen or have a barbecue in the garden. The most important things to see are: The valley of the temples, the Kolymbetra Garden, the Museum , the Archeological Area, Pirandello's birthplace, the town of Agrigento with its monuments, the cathedral and the picturesque Via Atenea, the boulevard with its gorgeous view. If you like the sea , other attractive places, besides the sandy beaches in San Leone, are "La Scala dei Turchi", "Punta Bianca", " Bovo Marina " and other natural reserves with secluded bays and crystalline sea.

San Leone

Agrigento is on the south west coast of Sicily. This town is very famous worldwide for the Valley of the Temples, which is a vast archaeological area with ancient Greek ruins. The Temples are the most important attraction but you can have a great time visiting other attractions and relaxing by the sea. You can visit this town all the year around because the climate is very mild in winter months too. In February, there is an important Festival called " La Sagra del Mandorlo " and in July, there is the celebration of the Patron Saint San Calogero. Places to visit are: Agrigento , San Leone , the Temples, the Kolymbetra Garden , the Museum, The Scala dei Turchi , Punta Bianca, Luigi Pirandello's Birthplace , Porto Empedocle , Eraclea Minoa, the Natural Reserve of Torre Salsa, Mount Cammarata etc... From the house you can easily reach all the other important destinations for a short visit: Palermo, Caltagirone, Catania, Sciacca, Erice, Noto, Ragusa Ibla, Piazza Armerina ( for the farthest place you just need 2 hour drive ).
