The Barn is attached and part of a now non working farm called Higher Boden, which comprimises a Grade II listed farmhouse and outbuildings which have been converted into other dwellings , there are 4 properties in total on the farmsite . The Barn is quite secluded and has its own drive and parking .There is a large garden and 2 acre paddock which belongs exclusively to The Barn, a cart shed which can accomodate outside BBQ if weather is less good and a very large stable block with plenty of space for the kids and a full size table tennis table . It is located on the Lizard Penisula 2 miles from the Helford River and sea, it is an ideal place for those who want to get away from it all but with the option of plenty of activities at hand .
The Old stone Barn has been sensitively converted to accomodate up to 10 people, it is full of rustic character and charm . There are plenty of beautiful walks both costal and inland with beaches very close at hand .

Manaccan is 2miles from Helford and the Helford River and 1 mile from Gillan Creek and 2 miles approx. to St Anthony .The Barn feels as if it is in a part of English countryside that time has forgotten with ancient oak forests lining the creeks , perfect for exploring with boats and canoes ,The East side of the lizard has some beautiful hidden coves but also close to the more rugged Cornish coast with Church Cove and Poldu close by and The famous National Trust Kynance Cove and Mullion only about 25 minute drive away .
You feel like you get the best of all worlds you can either stay at the farm and enjoy the tranquilly and peace of the countryside , walk down to the creeks or Helford River or surf on the Western side of the Lizard .Penzance is about 45 minutes away with lots to do , St Ives also takes about 45 minutes to get to as does Falmouth
If you want more structured days out for the children , there is Flambards in Helston and the Seal sanctuary in Gweek .Praa sands is a long stretch of sand with cafes and surfing if you want a slightly busier feel
Manaccan has a pub and an excellent restaurant café called the South café . There is a fish and chip van which comes once a week . St Keverne is a 15 minute drive away and has a village shop which is open late and sports a pub , restaurants and excellent butchers . Helford Village 2 miles away has and excellent delicatessen and Pub and across the river which you can get a boat to in high season you can visit Helford Passage which again has an excellent Pub for eating out right next to the beach .
Helston has Sainsbury and Tesco which is very accessible 20 minutes away
