The Umbria region

Umbria is the green heart of Italy. Rich in art and history, offers many routes and will offer visitors scenarios of the past full of charm.

The old traditions come to life in the culinary arts and products of many famous wineries. The paths meander among the many ancient villages, the goals of the cult, the coolness of the woods and the heady scents of wine and food...

Orvieto is the most westerly town in Umbria. It is located between Florence and Rome, lapped by the highway of the Sun and the railway, is an important crossroads for cultural italian tourism . The surroundings of Orvieto were classified as basin naturalness, of capital importance for the Umbria region. Its proximity to Bolsena lake and, relatively, to the Tyrrhenian coast, makes these places, in contrast to the rest of the region, tourism more attractive to a summer addressed to entertainment even if the same route to and from the beaches, which are lake or sea, is the same as the Etruscan people walked to its trade relations and to achieve its centers of greater importance: Bolsena, Cerveteri, Orbetello.

Even then, central Orvieto is assumed in the presence of the most important political and religious center of Etruria, now identified in the remains of the Fanum Volumnie, gently resting between the cliff and the lower slopes of the volcanic Highland of Alfina
