The property is situated in the grounds of a fabulous twelth century chateau in the style of a fortified farmhouse, close to the Medieval Village of Penne d'Agenais. The village is home to a number of artisans making jewellery, glassware, leatherware and clothing and has some excellent restaurants. The local town (aprox 2 miles) of St Sylvestre Sur Lot offers a Supermarket, Bank, and Boulangerie. Local activities include golf, cycling, walking, river boat hire and horse-riding. A short drive away are an array of beautiful medieval bastides such as Tournon d'Agenais, Pujols and Monflanquin.
