As well as the New Forest on the doorstep, with its wealth of attractions, the historic Portsmouth Dockyards including the new "Mary Rose" Museum, Winchester, Bournemouth, Salisbury, and the Isle of Wight are all within easy reach for day visits.Whether you are seeking a relaxing “get away from it all break” or an active sightseeing tour of the area , Purlins could be just the place for you!For a car free holiday, Ashurst (New Forest) railway station is just a mile away and bikes can be carried on board. We can also collect guests from the station. There is a 2 hourly bus service from Totton and the Open Topped Summer Tour Bus stops close by.The self-contained holiday ground floor annexe has off road parking and its own private entrance via a south facing garden path and patio. This opens into a spacious bedroom with a King size bed and triple aspect views of the garden. The large open plan living/dining room has an archway entrance into a well equipped kitchen, containing a fridge/freezer, microwave, double electric oven and gas hob. If cooking is not high on your holiday agenda there is a good selection of pubs and takeaways in the area! A small hallway leads to a bathroom with bath/electric shower, toilet and basin. There is a TV/DVD in the living room and the bedroom.Good quality bed linen and towels, gas and electricity are included in the price. Regrettably no dogs due to resident Border Collie - Josie and cats - Sheba and PixieSummer season June -October letting is on a weekly basis with the change over day as Saturday. Short breaks would only be taken "last minute" during this period. Outside of this period short breaks are offered with a minimum of 3 nights and a flexible start day.
