When you go on a skiing holiday there are only 3 things you need to consider when booking your apartment Location, Location Location! The Neon complex is one of the developments that is truly located within 200m of the ski lift in Bansko and is in the very heart of the resort.
It is a privately owned apartment which we use ourselves every year for skiing. It is literally a 2-3 minute walk to the gondola from the apartment. Next door to the complex is a large supermarket and you are within 5 minutes walk of numerous bars, restaurants and ski hire shops. It is also on the eastern side of the river making it an excellent location to be able to walk into the old town (10-15 mins walk).
It is a modern 1 bedroom apartment with all mod cons and sleeps 4/5 people. It is furnished to a very high standard. The bedroom has 2 single beds (can be pushed together). The lounge area has 2 sofa beds (a double and a large single). There is a fully fitted kitchen, with fridge, fan oven, electric hob and microwave oven. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, basin and WC. The apartment is on the fourth floor and the building has a lift.

Bansko is situated at the foothills of the stunning Pirin mountains, giving easy access by modern gondola to a world class skiing area at 2000 - 2500m. This World Cup venue offers excellent skiing and snowboarding, whilst the hot, dry summers are ideal for walking, mountain biking, horse riding and white water rafting.
The old town centre, founded in the 10th century, offers picturesque streets and great value dining in the traditional restaurants or Mehanas. Focal points are the Holy Trinity Church, with its distinctive bell tower and the streets around the town square. A short walk from the apartment is the town's ice rink, and closeby are the excellent Victoria restaurant and for fine dining, the Kempinski. A modern shopping mall offers a variety of stores.
The resort is well served by a modern and efficient gondola and modern ski-lift infrastructure. Snows are generally good from late December through to April and are complemented by an array of snow cannons. The resort is particularly good for beginners and intermediates with 8 blue and 11 red runs, combined with a variety of ski schools, including the excellent Bansko Ski School. There is plenty of variety with over 65km of pistes, including a 16km run back into town. Night skiing is also an option on the floodlit 7km slope.
Bansko is not just for winter, with a wide range of summer activities making this an ideal all-year-round holiday destination. There's fantastic hiking to be had in the Pirin mountains, with marked trails for all levels and guides available in town. Mountain biking is also very popular for all levels. Other activities include white water rafting, horse riding and canoe/kayaking.
The town is also well known for its annual summer Jazz festival held in August.
Just a short drive from Bansko is Dobrinishte, a spa resort with mineral springs and natural hot waters, where you will also find a large open air swimming pool where you can bathe in the mineral waters.
Being in the South-West of Bulgaria, for those with a car, Bansko can form part of a two-centre holiday including a stay in Greece (check restrictions with your car hire company).
