About the castle:

An authentic, fully furnished, just recently renovated traditional castle with great views.

Around 2 centuries ago, our grandparents decided to build a castle for their winter stays and to protect themselves from rivalries.

On the ground floor you can find the olive press that our family owned to provide the residents of the nearby villages their olive oil.

The stone house untouched by the years is ready to accommodate you, your family and friends to enjoy unique holidays.

The renovation took into consideration the traditional character of the castle keeping it unspoiled, while adding some modern touches. The materials used are mainly the local stone and wood. The castle is fully equipped with electrical appliances and other amenities in order to make your stay comfortable.

All 4 bedrooms will easily accommodate 10 people. Furthermore 2 sofa beds are provided in the living room for sleep.

Staying in a castle is a unique experience on its own! Certain artefacts scattered around the house will make you feel the history and the ambience that the house has. It will definitely make you feel like living centuries ago!

The Laconia Region

The Peloponnese region

The Peloponnese or Peloponnesus is a large peninsula in southern Greece, forming the part of the country south of the Gulf of Corinth.

Why not take the car and go around it. There are many beauties to see!

The very first thing that can be performed and enjoyed in Peloponnese is its sports and other activities.
As this place is fully surrounded with water, there are a large number of water sports activities. One much liked activity that many holiday makers love to do is that of sailing and fishing.

Cruising on the yachts and sailing is really an enjoyable and exciting method to see the area from a totally different point of view.

This can be a relaxing and exhilarating at same time.

Various boats are also available to hire which is a great way to spend a day exploring the local area.

As well as yachting or sailing there is also scuba diving, parasailing, windsurfing, fishing and snorkelling.

Different areas of Peloponnese provide distinct kinds of shopping options ranging from small shops and traditional markets to the larger malls.

Apart from Olympia, other shopping destinations in Peloponnese include Kalamata, known for olives and olive oil and traditional cloth home ware.

Some tourists like to visit the plantations where olives grow and even sample the products before actually purchasing them. Please check more information on the "The area" segment.

Come to see the Peloponnese with its great shops and bear in mind that bargaining with the local merchants is welcome...

The Lakonia / Mani area

Mani is a wide geographic segment of Lakonia, starting from the town of Gytheio and all the way south to the end of Cape Tainaro. Mani is well known of the friendly local people. Tourist wise it has not been fully developed, keeping its main attributes and origin untouched. Mani is a special place of tranquillity and tradition. The best place to be if you want to enjoy countryside and crystal clear seas!

Paggia is a small village right in the heart of Mani, situated within a basin amongst two small hills. It has the capacity to maintain relatively cooler temperature especially in the summer. In many parts of the castle you will experience the complete lack of high temperatures due to the natural insulation that the stone walls provide.

You will have the opportunity to experience absolute silence and enjoy the brightest stars you have ever seen! Do not miss that!!!

Whenever you need to get in touch with more "civilization" Gerolimenas is only 12 minutes by car (6,6 km) away from the property.
There are bars, cafeterias, taverns, and a tourist gift shop.

Provided that you like to fish, in Gerolimenas you will find all the necessary elements for you to do just that.

On the other hand, if you like hunting, Paggia is a great hunting area. Due to where Paggia is situated all sorts of birds pass in due times. Should you wish to come for that purpose, please contact us for more information such as hunting seasons, special permits etc.

If agricultural tourism interest you, Paggia is an ideal location for you to watch and show your children how the famous Greek extra virgin oil is collected and produced. A great "educational package" for you and your family. Should you wish to come for that purpose, please contact us for more information such as the best periods and some kind of tour that we could arrange for you.
