We are pleased to announce the new arrival of a great one bedroom on East 6th street, featuring 11 foot high ceilings, 10 foot doors and original mouldings from the turn of the century. There are about 55 square meters of space.
This one bedroom has a fireplace and large eat-in kitchen. Located on the first floor, it has been totally remodelled in a very urban fashion. It has lots of light coming from the large windows in the living area facing the east side in the morning with little street noise. The bedroom faces south overlooking a private garden.

The theme of the apartment is wood. It has unique cork flooring made for walking comfort, which also absorbs noise and custom wooden panels which decorate the walls. The shelving and cabinets are custom made by a master wood carpenter. The plates and holders are mainly bamboo and beautiful hardwoods. The large dining table is a one-of-a-kind tempered glass and wood designed by the owner. It has 4 beds and a 5th rollaway bed if needed (no airbeds)

The brand new kitchen has all the facilities you need. The equipment is professional stainless steel. The living area fits up to 3 beds; so we can host groups of five people.

There is an open space separating the bedroom from the living room in which an HD Flatscreen TV slides to either room and an IPod docking radio. Two small steps separate the living space from the (doorless, but curtained) bedroom and bathroom.
We invite you to experience this rare jewel in the neighborhood.

New York City

Come stay with us and wake up in a city that never sleeps in a charming townhouse from the late-19th century. Let us welcome you to a lively neighborhood where brick walls speak of its history and our cozy studios allow you to relax after a busy day. Our neighborhood in this part of the East Village has now been designated as a landmark area. In the late 1960's this was the birthplace of the NYC hippie scene and counter culture. The Filmore East and the Electric Circus are nearby where the likes of Jimmy Hendrix, Janice Joplin, Led Zepplin and other performers used to jam in their early days. Even today, St. Marks Place, which is two streets over still reflects that hard edge energy and left-over punk scene unique to the East Village.

Discover the East Village, featuring ethnic and specialty foods and cafes. My advice is to NEVER ask the manager where is a good place to eat !?!? The answer you get is ALWAYS, what country or cuisine do you like? It is very much true that almost every cuisine from every nation is represented in the New York city dining experience. Some nearby diners, pharmacies and grocery stores are open 24 hours. Groceries, Produce and Hardware stores are within 2 blocks. You have an open invitation to live like New Yorkers do. Get into a New York state of mind and enjoy the city in a balance of comfort and discomfort, just like a native.
