Well equipped, luxury holiday home in Ilfracombe with stunning views of the sea.
There are 3 bedrooms, 1 king with ensuite wet room and flat screen tv, 1 double, and a bedroom with ensuite shower room and flat screen tv which has bunk beds plus a sofa bed which can accomodate a further 2 guests at extra charge. The sea views can be enjoyed from most of the rooms including whilst enjoying a dip in the hot tub on the patio. The luxury family bathroom has a separate shower and jacuzzi bath. Linen and towels are provided (except beach towels). There is off road parking for 2-3 cars and a lovely large garden.
It is a 15 minute stroll to Ilfracombe harbour, a five minute drive to Ilfracombe golf club and Ilfracombe Harbour beach can be reached in 15 minutes by foot. There are many pubs and restaurants within walking distance of the Hideaway. Hillsborough and the coastal path is 15 minutes walk and there are many accessible walks in the area. The nearest supermarket is a five minute drive/15 minute walk away.
The West Country region
Activities are plentiful in North Devon. An ideal base for coastal walks along the Tarka trail and the South West Coastal path, beautiful beaches, cream teas, stunning coastline and quaint fishing villages. There is something for all ages including boat trips to Lundy Island, surfing at Woolacombe or Croyde and canoeing / kayaking along the rugged coast. Lynton and Lynmouth water powered funicular railway, Appledore and Instow and Clovelly with it's cobbled steep village setting right on the coast.
Exmoor and Dartmoor are both easily accessible by car and there is plenty for the family including the Big Sheep, Watermouth Castle and karting, bowling and swimming in and around the Barnstaple area.
The harbour and promenade areas of Ilfracombe have a lot to offer including crazy golf, the aquarium, boat trips from the Harbour, a number of pubs and restaurants offering stunning sea views and good food.
In addition to the bronze sculpture by Damien Hirst, 'Verity' is in the company of numerous art galleries in the area and Damien Hirst's own restuarant 'The Quay' on the Harbour.
Children can explore and go rock pooling in Hele Bay, Tunnels Beach or a few minutes drive away at Lee Bay. Horse riding, Clay pigeon shooting and Quad biking are all available nearby. There are numerous golf courses in the region. Tours of a local brewery can be arranged and kayaks, canoes and bikes are available to hire nearby.
