The Aquitaine region

Connie is situated on the Canal de Garonne (which is an extension of the Canal du Midi) at Caumont sur Garonne.

Being on a canal there is an endless walk and cycle ride along the tow path. Great to cycle out for coffee or lunch! We also offer a dinghy, so energtic ones could row for their lunch!

Caumont sur Garonne is a sleepy little village, offering a cafe and a post office, but the closest town is Marmande, the tomato capital of the world!! Marmande has 4 major supermarkets, a large Saturday market, plus restaurants and cafes.

There are also numerous Bastide villages in the area, most of which have large daily markets.

This region is famous for its night markets. One could, if desired, eat in a different village, mingling with the locals, every night of the week. Very popular because wine growers, farmers etc., all bring in their local produce for one to sample.

This area is very tranquil, very rural and perfect for those just wanting sample french life with the added bonus of being afloat.

We do offer skippered day/two days trips also catered dinners, or a freezer of yummies.
