Just under 40 minutes drive from either Alicante or Murcia airports, you will find the old fishing town of Torrevieja.
The town offers plenty to amuse everyone, with numerous restaurants and shops.
Urbanisation Princess Maria is a new development on the northern outskirts of Torrevieja. This area remains tranquil & away from the hustle & bustle.
Within the area are shops, bars, restaurants, swimming pools & a magnificent sports centre, all within 500 meters.
An addition to the area in 2005 has been the magnificent Habaneras Shopping Centre with a multitude of shops from Zara and Mango to H & M and only a 20 minute walk away. Also in this area are Cinema, 10 Pin Bowling, Casino and more Bars & Restaurants. A further new shopping centre opened in 2013 called La Zenia Boulevard. Somewhat bigger even than Habaneras it boasts an even wider array of shops, bars and restaurants and is a 15 minute drive from the house.
A good walk or short bus ride will take you down to the Marina and Torrevieja's award-winning promenade.
The Hippy Market, open until all hours, offers plenty of fancy goods for those with money to spend.
There are also several golf courses within a short drive for those hoping to partake of a round or two, most notably the famous Villamartin and Las Ramblas courses.
For the more adventurous, there is also a fairground, with lots of rides and games to tempt you.
Local beaches are mostly blue-flag rated, and there are plenty to choose from.
For those interested in nature there are the salt lakes and protected species of birds.
Further afield are day trips to Alicante, Cartagena, Murcia and Benidorm.
