The region is renowned for it's Chateaux, Bordeaux wine, sunflowers, forests, fois gras, pineau, and its landscape (truly an artists paradise). There are many things to do and see in this area. There are superb restaurants, chateaux, breathtaking places such as Brantome and Bourdielle, there are markets (tourist and local), and man made beaches on local lakes with swimming areas and boats to hire. There is golf, horse riding, walking, cycling, fishing…..the list goes on.
