Portpatrick Village is located in the far western reaches of Dumfries & Galloway, Portpatrick lies on the western coast of the Rhinns of Galloway 8 miles south of the port town of Stranraer. Easily accessible on the A77 Portpatrick is just over a 2 hour drive from the City of Glasgow.
The area boasts a number of leisure activities including walking, fishing, golf, cycling, kitesurfing and watersports. Portpatrick itself has an excellect 18 hole golf course which boasts magnificent sea views looking over the village.
The area is popular with walkers as it is the start of the Southern Upland Way.
Portpatrick has a number of restauraunts, hotels and pubs and is popular with daytrippers and weekend goers alike.
