The Puglia region

Areas surrounding the village of Peschici include a National park with hills reaching up to 1.000 m. Cozy 5 - 10 min. walk through the old town to a wonderful sandy beach. Excellent area for fishing, diving, hiking, offroad bicycling and boat excursions. Enchanting village, with many excellent restaurants, a daily produce market and a full assortment of shops.

The Garganic Peninsula is listed on an exclusive list of cultural heritage areas of Europe. Covering religion, arts, handicrafts, biology, zoology and folkloristic heritage. More than 300 specimens of orchids are found here, and more than 2000 zoological species that are unique to the area.

The climate is warm (norther european summer temperature) normally between 15th April until the end of October.


Being protected by the Holy St Elia, the village has its major religious spectacle in the period between 17th and 22nd July, but you will find both this village and the surrounding villages in celebrating both their own and any catholic or worldly celebrity at any occasion throughout the year. In fact you would find it hard not to find any spectacle of cultural, populistic og religious carachter going on in the summer season in this region.

This area is reknowned for its numerous religios and cultural festivals, you wouldn't find a week in the summer season withour anything going on in Peschici or close by. Check and
