The England region

Ancroft Manor is situated 10km South of Berwick upon Tweed, Englands most Northerly town. Surrounded by the beautiful Northumbrian countryside and only 15 minutes drive from the Scottish Borders and Berwickshire. The area is steeped in history for its battles between the English and the Scots, the legacy of this is evident with the many castles in the area. These include Bamburgh, Floors Castle and Alnwick Castle with its spectacular gardens. Holy Island is only a 20minute drive from Ancroft Manor and is well worth a visit to see its Castle and ruined Priory. Views along the coastline are stunning with miles of sand dunes stretching as far as the eye can see and over shadowed by the Cheviot and Lammermuir hills to the South and North West.

The area offers visitors with a wide range of activities and things to do! You name it and you can probably do it, within reason! The area is very rural and unspoilt so there is lots to see if you love the outdoors, and getting around isn't a problem as hush hour doesn't exist! If there is anything in particular that your interested in then please get in touch and we can try and point you in the right direction.
Many popular activities are catered for in the area such as Golf, Walking, Cycling, Mountain Biking, Fishing, Shooting, Horse Riding, Bird watching, Watersports (including Surfing lessons) plus lots more!

Plus all the Castles and history to explore on the doorstep!

If a wild night is what you want then the area possibly isn't for you, but there are some very nice pubs and resaurants nearby and two night clubs 6 miles away in Berwick. So you can still enjoy a good night out with friends or family!
