Orchard Cottage, with its typical Norfolk construction and original beams, offers extremely comfortable and cosy accommodation for three visitors in one double and one single bedroom, a lounge/diner, separate kitchen and full bathroom, fully self-contained and all at ground level with minimum of steps.
Antique furnishings and the tastefully decorated interior, provide the discerning guest with utmost comfort. French doors open out onto a private south-facing patio and delightful flower-filled gardens especially chosen to attract birds and butterflies. The scent of blossom enhances the natural richness of the surroundings. Enjoy a glass of wine or two and soak up the magic of being deep in the heart of the ancient apple orchard alongside rabbit, pheasant and deer and ever-present birdsong. Capture the carpet of bluebells and primroses in the spring, the magnificent spectacle of apple blossom in early summer and gather sumptuous apples and blackberries from our own orchards in the autumn.
We are proud to offer a cottage that offers so much in an outstanding conservation area. The peace and tranquility ensure a very relaxed and restorative stay - perfect for those who just want to get away from it all and enjoy such idyllic surroundings.

The two detached south-facing cottages are set within the 3-acre grounds of Roger and Penny's 16th century beamed farmhouse at Green Farm, which they have personally renovated and have lived in since 1978. The derelict stables have been lovingly restored too and form two exceedingly comfortable, light and bright holiday cottages surrounded by the natural beauty of living in a conservation area where peace and wildlife are encouraged and preserved both within their private walled gardens, old apple orchard and wildflower meadow where guests can also enjoy the peace and quiet of the summerhouse.
Stable and Orchard Cottage are within the grounds of Green Farm on Saxlingham Green just outside the very attractive and historic village of Saxlingham Nethergate with St. Mary's Church at its heart. Just seven miles south from the bustling city of Norwich, Saxlingham is set in most attractive rolling countryside, laced with footpaths, lanes, bridleways and quiet country roads perfect for cyclists and walkers alike.
The village store and postoffice in Hempnall, just 1.5 miles away is open every day and all hours for papers, provisions and post office.
