The Languedoc-Roussillon region

The languedoc-rousillon region is known for these highlights : the old city of Carcassonne, it's famous Cathar Castles, the tasty wines and sparkling wines of Limoux, the coastline of painters near the spanisch border... But there are still some unspoiled area's like the montagne noire where you can relax and enjoy the food and wine far from the hustle and bustle of the crowded places. Just go there and enjoy nature and it's silence...where on earth will you find this!

Fabulous for people looking for tranquility, just open your door and start hiking along the many trails of the Montagne Noire. Unspoiled nature will seduce you all year round. In summer you can go for a swim in the lake of Pradelles-Cabardes. You can hike until you reach the highest point of the montagne noire: Le pic de Nore, if you are lucky you will see as much as the pyrenees and the coastline of Narbonne! If you like to visit things you have a large choice: the cave of Cabrespine or Limousis, the Cathar castles of Lastours, the wine growing fields of the minervois...
