Carraig is a Visit Scotland 4-Star holiday home which sits on the shores of the Atlantic in Machrihanish, a small village on the Kintyre Peninsular within a short drive of the famous Mull of Kintyre. Access from the back garden leads directly onto the beach with spectacular views and sunsets with a wealth of different sea birds and wildlife literally on the doorstep.
The house includes a wide range of features for your enjoyment and comfort:

Large kitchen/diner with floor to ceiling picture window and door (approximately ten feet from the shore) electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier.

Two doubles with fitted robes
One twin with fitted robes and TV/DVD player
One large single (travel cot and high chair supplied)
All bed linen (apart from travel cot) and towels supplied with all beds made up beforehand

Large seaside garden with completely private hedged area to side, specimen plants including palm tree
The nearby town of Campbeltown offers many facilities including sailing trips, fishing, sea angling, pony trekking, walking (including the nearby Kintyre Trail), restaurants, shopping. Day trips can be taken to the islands of Gigha and Arran.
Rates: From £450 to £1000 per week depending on season.

Situated on the western seaboard of Kintyre, close to the famous Mull of Kintyre. Machrihanish is famous for its spectacular sunsets with views towards the islands of Islay, Jura and Gigha. Day trips can be taken to the nearby islands of Gigha and Arran via the local ferry service. Open to the public on Gigha (God's Island) are the well know Achamore Gardens which support a large number of tropical plants, testimony to the gentle climate of the area due to the influence of the Gulf Stream. For walkers the Kintyre walking trail passes the house.
The nearby town of Campbeltown offers many facilities including tourist information, hotels, restaurants, shopping, supermarkets, etc. Activities within the area include golf, (there are three further golf courses a short drive away), sailing, fishing, sea angling, pony trekking and walking, including the nearby Kintyre Trail. The island of Davaar, in the mouth of Campbeltown Loch, can be visited at low tide to view the famous cave painting of the Crucifix. Campbeltown's 'mountain', Bennghuilean, can be climbed view various well-marked routes to suit differing abilities.
