The south west of Cornwall has everything - beautiful coastal walks, beaches and cliffs and unspoilt scenery, as well as good bird-watching and interesting gardens to visit, and excellent golf, water-sports and sailing facilities. There is a range of interesting museums and galleries in towns and villages such as Falmouth,St Ives, Helston, Marazion and Penzance, and in the cathedral city and county town of Truro.
Tregowris is set within The Meneague, or 'Land of Saints', a beautiful rural area bordered by the creeks of the Helford River in the north and the moorland of the Lizard peninsular to the south. This is good walking country and there's a fine stretch of coastline with some excellent views over the sea and the Fal estuary and Falmouth itself. There are several interesting local gardens open to the public and the area is within good reach of Truro and the north coast, and the far west including St Michael's Mount, the Pendeen peninsular, Penzance, St Ives and Lands End.
