The Cornwall region

The West Country enjoys not only a balmy temperate climate, but some of the best beaches in Europe, the most beautiful gardens in the United Kingdom and boasts a uniqueness of character and spirit, which only a visit to this stunning region will explain.

Cornwall has its own very distinct character from the rest of the country, partly explained by its diverse land stretching westwards to the atlantic.Surrounded by sea on three sides, it's rocky headlands, sandy coves and moorland are dramatically romantic and intriguing and the combination of its climate, geography and history offers a wealth of interest for everyone of any age or persuasion and is why it has become the premier holiday destination for so many people from far and wide.

Tolroy Manor is just behind Hayle in St Ives Bay and close to St Ives a stunning harbour town and home to the Tate Modern Art Gallery. There are numerous galleries in West Cornwall and a thriving artists community. St Michael's Mount and Penzance are to the south west and further west there is the charming fishing port of Newlyn, Mousehole and beyond that the Minnack Theatre. To the South East there is Falmouth and the Maritime Museum, Truro, The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

There are numerous family attractions on land and sea and flights and boats for the Scilly Isles.

The food and produce is second to none and any visitor will have to come back to sample just a little of what this stunning and unique county has to offer.
