Well appointed, self catering apartment on the 1st floor of our house. Comfortably sleeps up to 3 people with one bedroom plus a comfortable sofa-bed in living room. This apartment offers modern living with kitchen, dining and living areas combined in one large open space with access to the south-west facing balcony with magnificent views across to the Katrin Mountain and surrounding area, a great place to relax and unwind!Fully fitted, well equipped kitchen with everything you will need during your stay and a pleasant dining area with large table and chairs. There is a fully equipped living area with satellite TV, DVD player and CD player with radio and a sofa bed. There is WiFi available, a DVD library, books and board games for you to borrow during your stay.A modern shower room which is light and bright and a separate WC.A double bedroom with large, comfortable Austrian style double bed and plenty of storage space in the wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Our house is not suitable for small children however, children aged 12 years and over are welcome and should be included in the total guest number when making a reservation.
We are situated in a quiet rural area with wonderful views across to the mountains and surrounding area, but we are just 1.5 km from the centre of Bad Ischl – so you get the best of both worlds! Bad Ischl is a famous spa resort with the 'Eurotherme Resort' offering a range of treatments, pools and saunas. The town has a good variety of shops, excellent cafes, stylish bars and a range of wonderful restaurants to suit all tastes. This area of Salzkammergut has something to offer visitors all year round. In summer there are many water based activities on the lakes and rivers, walking, hiking, mountain biking, golf and horse riding, to name a few. In winter there is a good variety of downhill and cross country skiing and within a 30 minute drive.There are many places of interest to visit in the area including Salzburg with its castles and rich history and Hallstatt, a beautiful town with world heritage status and the famous salt mines, to name just two.

Spring: The beautiful meadows and mountainsides awaken with the return of spring flowers, the re-awakening of the trees and the return of various birds and animals.

Travel to the top of the mountain by cable car, take in the views or explore vast summer walking routes to suit all abilities. This is a season of many traditional festivals that give the region charm and attract visitors to the area including the 'Bauernherbst' festival that celebrates the harvest season with many local specialities.
Winter: Good winter sports resorts are Dachstein West (over 142 kms of piste to suit everyone), and Postalm (21 kms of piste, ideal for families, beginners and those looking to refresh or improve). There are also many towns and villages in the area that host charming Advent markets offering traditional handicrafts, local specialities and, of course, Gluhwein. What better way to get the Christmas spirit!

Bad Ischl centre is only 1.5 km. The station and nearest supermarket is 1.3 km. The spa town of Bad Ischl has a wonderful selection of shops, restaurants and cafés. The town has historic 'royal connections' and is famous for it's thermal baths where you can experience the various treatments on offer or just go for a swim. There are many attractions in the town with museums and cultural spots and events that take place throughout the year including operetta events from June to September, a wine festival, vintage car events, music in the park and various traditional festivals. Bad Ischl is well situated in the heart of the crystal clear lakes of the region with Wolfgangsee (20km), Halstättersee (16km), Gosausee (30km) or Fuschlsee (34km). We are surrounded by the majestic mountains of the Salzkammergut and there are many towns of historic interest and outstanding beauty near by with Salzburg (birthplace of Mozart) 55km and Hallstatt (World Heritage Site) 16km. There are also numerous local villages that are picturesque and full of character.
