Lincoln is 25 miles away and in the Bailgate area is the magnificent cathedral which is built on the highest point. The nearby castle built by William the Conqueror is also home to the Magna Carta. The area between these buildings is the site of the famous Christmas Market held annually in December. Look for Brayford Pool and Wharf and sit and rest a while watching the world pass by.
