Sian and David welcome you to stay in our self-contained 2 double bedroom cottage. We are surrounded by farmland and have amazing views over the Vale of Clwyd. We're in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and yet we're only 2 miles from the lovely old town of Ruthin.
We aim to provide clean and comfortable accommodation at a reasonable cost.
Our cottage is a very spacious 2 double bedroom house with a large sitting room. It can sleep up to 8 people in 3 double/king beds and 1 double air bed.
The cottage is a semi-detached converted barn. There is plenty of car parking space. A large porch leads you into the cottage.
Downstairs there is a cloakroom with WC and wash hand basin.
There's a large kitchen with breakfast bar and oak fitted units with a hob, an oven with grill, washing machine, dishwasher, freezer and fridge. In fact, everything you need to keep you warm, fed and relaxed.
The sitting room has a 3 large sofas, TV and DVD player. The large French window provide stunning views across the Vale of Clwyd. A comfortable king size airbed can be put up in the sitting room to provide a fourth double bed if required.
Upstairs, the bathroom has a separate bath and a shower cubicle and a WC. The smaller bedroom has a king size bed and cupboard space. The larger bedroom has a double bed and a king-size bed with large wardrobes and a dressing table.
Our cottage has all the essentials to make your stay away from home as comfortable as possible. Although attached to our own home, the cottage provides privacy for our guests (and us!).
When you arrive, you'll find the beds made and towels in the airing cupboard for your use. In the kitchen there are facilities to cater for yourselves, and we provide basics to get you started such as tea, coffee, sugar, cereal, bread, butter, jam, milk and biscuits, and of course washing up materials! Cooked breakfast and packed lunch may be available by arrangement. Cots and highchair are available if required.

Bwlch Cottage is at the end of a quiet lane in the village of Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd, near Ruthin in North Wales.
Bwlch Cottage is located just off the A494 Ruthin – Mold road and is approx 1.5 miles from Ruthin town centre.
It is a great location having easy access to the main road (A494) yet surrounded by farmland and having amazing views across the Vale of Clwyd towards Ruthin and, on a clear day, Snowdonia and Cadair Idris.
The Clwydian Range with the highest peak being Moel Famau is directly behind Bwlch Cottage and a little further is Loggerheads Country Park.
We are only 40 minutes from Chester or the North Wales coast, an hour from Liverpool, Betws y Coed or Conwy, and only 30 minutes from Llangollen, Llyn Brenig and Wrexham.
For those interested in geography, the Vale of Clwyd is a rift valley. Bwlch Cottage sits on the easternmost side of the valley on the steep side wall. That's why we have such great views!
Our location in the village of Llanbedr is ideal if you are working in Ruthin, Mold, Denbigh, St Asaph, Bodelwyddan, Chester or Wrexham and just a hour from Liverpool or Manchester Airport.
If you are on holiday it is a lovely location to be based as you can take day trips across to Snowdonia, Portmeirion, Caernarfon, Bangor, Anglesey, Llandudno, Conwy. Even nearer are the towns of Llangollen, Betws Y Coed, Bala, Denbigh and Mold.

There is plenty to do in the historic market town of Ruthin; if you want to get up close to farm animals or experience a livestock auction, why not visit Ruthin Farmers Auction at Glastir on a Tuesday or Thursday when they hold regular weekly sales or frequent special sales on other days.
