Set in the popular Georgian seaside town of Weymouth, with its lovely sandy family beach and old harbour. It is just a 5-minute walk to Weymouth sea front and beach, and is a comfortable, family holiday home retaining many original features. Conveniently situated just ten minutes walk from the town centre, shops, restaurants and pubs.
You can take a boat trip along the Jurassic coast, walk in Durlston Country Park, board the steam train to Corfe Castle, and take a ferry to Swanage to see the restored Victorian pier or just build sandcastles! Dorset's famous Jurassic coastline, most notably Chesil Beach in Portland, but also Lulworth Cove, Kimmeridge Bay, and Durdle Door are just a short drive away to the east.
Weymouth, apart from being an ideal family town, with its famous sandy beach and beach entertainments is also a popular venue for those participating in water sports. Situated on the finest small boat sailing waters in northern Europe, Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy was confirmed as the official venue for the Olympic Sailing events in 2012. It is an exposed spot at the western end of the English Channel, providing some of the best natural Sailing waters in the UK, with facilities on land to match.
