The Pavilion" is a very pretty, timeless, clapboard "New England" style chalet in the heart of the Cheshire Plain set within the grounds of a wonderful Thatched Cottage which has 15th century origins and very pretty cottage gardens overlooking the "Little Thatch" folly and surrounding countryside. Ideal for a romantic getaway or as a base for activities or sightseeing. The Pavillion with its vintage "sporting" theme is decorated in the understated shabby chic style which is luxuriously appointed with stylish fabrics and furnishings. It is charming, quirky and very comfortable.

Guests enjoy a full length picture window which frames uninterrupted views of the unspoilt Cheshire countryside.

Enjoy a drink or alfresco dining/ BBQ on your own garden terrace whilst overlooking the stunning countryside.

The Pavillion is a delightful retreat for romantic getaways or as an activity based short or long stay.

Located conveniently for activities of all tastes. Ancient Chester with all its historic attractions is just 15 miles away, whilst the charming and elegant Georgian village of Tarporley with its smart shops and wonderful pubs and wine bars including for example "The Swan" (headquarters of the "Cheshire Hunt"}, and "The Piste", is just 10 minutes away. The historic market town of Nantwich is just 4.5 miles away with an array of historic buildings, independent shopping and wonderful food establishments.

The ITV WW2 series "Homefires" is set in the area and Bunbury which is the setting for the fictional village of "Great Paxford" is just 5 minutes away.

There is no shortage of wonderful outdoor activities nearby with the gardens at Cholmondley Castle ( 3 miles), Sandstone Trail (4 miles) with stunning views over Cheshire and Wales, Shropshire Union Canal (3 miles), Llangollen Canal (1.5 miles) walking, cycling on country lanes, castles such as Beeston and Peckforton (5 miles), ice cream and farm shops, Stately homes, country parks, antique shops and lots more. If you are fortunate enough, during the winter months you may likely see the "local hunt" thundering through the neighbouring countryside!

The area is rich with bird life with owls, woodpeckers and waterbirds attracted to the pond and marsh in the meadow. During spring & summer the lowing cattle in the adjoining fields are always a delight to observe.

The local area is a must for "foodies" and country pub fans alike. Nantwich was recently rated one of the best 20 towns for foodies by the Telegraph (30/3/13) There is no shortage of highly regarded inns, "gastro pubs" and restaurants nearby, all of which rate very highly and are including in the Good Pub Guide 2014;

Our very own "local", The Thatch" (0.5 miles) is a historic 15th Century thatched pub with roaring fires in the winter, great food and an extensive menu to boot!

The Cholmondley Arms (pronounced "Chumley" by the locals) (3 miles away) is a wonderfully atmospheric gastro pub converted from an old school which is a great place to dine or share a drink. with family or friends.

The "Dysarts" in Bunbury (4 miles) is a classy but wonderfully laid back pub in a pretty village in the shadow of a 1000 year old church, The food served is terrific and boasts an extensive choice of real ales. Voted the "2013 Cheshire Dining Pub of the Year", this is definitely one not to be missed.

The Yew Tree at Spurstow (3 miles) is also a wonderful pub with a quirky edge and great food and was winner of the 2014 Cheshire Dining of the Year also!

The recently opened Ribble Valley Inn (celebrity Michelin starred chef Nigel Haworth of Northcote Manor fame) owned Nags Head is also just 3 miles in the quaint village of Haughton.

The Pavilion is conveniently located close to the North West and the Heart of England and also close to North Wales.

Manchester and its airport is a mere one hour away as is Liverpool. The M6 is just 20 minutes away. Crewe Railway Station is 15 minutes away with connections to most stations in the UK including London Euston in just 90 minutes, Manchester & Birmingham 40 minutes.

The Pavilion is also an ideal base for a country motoring holiday. There are countless picturesque country roads and quiet lanes that are of great appeal to bikers and classic car enthusiasts looking for that classic motoring escape!
