Baan Sai Tan, the “House of Flowing Waters”, is a stunning Balinese style 3-bedroom villa nestled in the palm tree hills of Bophut, in Koh Samui. This exclusive villa, in this prime location, is a true fusion of Asian and contemporary design, in its own, unique style. Built on 914m2 of land, Baan Sai Tan blurs the divisions between indoor and outdoor living with exquisite tropical gardens, cooling waterfalls and an infinity edged pool; all drenched in breath-taking panoramic ocean views.
The large living and dining space features oversized vaulted ceilings and concertina doors that create a gorgeous tree-house feel with balmy sea breezes filling the room. The bespoke sofa seating has been designed to easily seat six guests in utter comfort whilst simply kicking back and chilling, or enjoying the Flat screen TV with surround sound speaker system. The Living room terrace, with outdoor comfortable seating, is also a stunning feature of the villa, offering cool shade and beautiful views.
The outdoor spaces are ideal for ultimate relaxation. Guests can enjoy the pool side Sala with its thatched roof and large low-level cushion seating; the ceiling fan coupled with the sea breeze make this a cool area for guests to enjoy during the heat of the day. By night the ambient candles and dimming lights offer a more romantic ambience, with the nights sky peppered with the fireworks of the surrounding bays and sister isle of Koh Phangan.
The fully fitted western kitchen enjoys endless sea views and has been kitted out with all necessary cooking amenities. However should guests choose, the in-villa chef service can be requested for divine culinary treats, and a complimentary continental buffet breakfast is served daily. A large banquet style teak table comfortably seating 6 guests is located close to the terrace surrounded by the tropical sea vista. Guests may also choose to dine in the large Sala adjacent to the pool, fringed by the palm tree jungle and unending sea views for a tropical alfresco feel. The gorgeous space has been designed for a more relaxed eating environment with floor cushions and low-level table for a truly Thai dining experience.
The turquoise infinity edged pool is the central feature of this garden space; enveloped in glistening azure sea vistas, guests can enjoy the atmosphere of swimming in the ocean whist remaining in their own private sanctuary. The pool is designed with a long wide seat in the shallow end offering guests a cool position to catch golden rays with breath-taking views. For guests that are true sun worshippers the large sun deck with contemporary circular sun beds and all day sun is the perfect position to soak up more rays.
All 3 bedrooms are designed with a contemporary elegance and spacious layout; they each boast king size beds, gorgeous sea views, their own terraces and en-suite bathrooms. The Master suite is located on a level all of its own accessed from a walkway with slate steppers across the shallow pond which flows through to the large slate waterfall. The views from this level are incredible and offer guests staying in the master suite a little more privacy. The master suite also enjoys a private terrace with table and chairs for 2, and the ensuite bathroom features a powerful rain shower, a lover’s terrazzo bath and double sinks.
The beauty of Baan Sai Tan’s location rests in the fact that whilst staying on the idyllic hillside, guests can enjoy the feeling of a truly remote retreat, and yet in 5 minutes they can reach a host of local destinations. The villa is just 5 minutes’ drive from Bophut and Maenam beaches, and Fisherman’s Village with its mouth-watering restaurants and ultra-stylish boutiques. Plus it’s a mere fifteen minute drive from the airport, but crucially not on its flight path.
Baan Sai Tan has a dedicated and discreet team at hand to ensure that your all your holiday needs are met. Khun Dee works daily and conducts all the housekeeping for guests; whilst overseeing villa manager, Khun Jeab, is available to further assist guests with any enquiries or information about the island. To top it off the in-villa Chef Service and a range of in-villa spa treatments are available with pre-orders of half a day before.

The resort island of Koh Samui is a short 45 minute flight south from Bangkok in the Gulf of Thailand. Crystal clear water, powdery white sand beaches with swaying coconut palms, green hills, up to 600 m high and bizarre rock formations create the ambience for an enjoyable holiday with enchanting and romantic sunsets.
Koh Samui is the ideal place for a holiday, not only for the temperature constantly varying from 24° to 34° C, but also because visitors find everything they desire.
Sun, sand, sea and about 5 million coconut palms: this is the real paradise!!! A paradise where friendly islanders live in small picturesque fisher villages surrounded by lonely, long sand beaches and protected by fabulous coral reefs.
Here on Koh Samui there is plenty to do, we have solutions for every kind of request: our Thai and western restaurants are always ready to give you a treat and serve you the very best. A wide range of activities and happenings will be organized in order to satisfy every client's cultural interest or hobby.
Our island is malaria free and simply wonderful !
Bophut is really two places: Bophut beach, which sweeps down several kilometres between Big Buddha and Maenam beaches and perhaps one of the oldest places on the island, the charming Fisherman's Village, which takes up the middle section of the beach.
Fisherman's Village is fast gaining a reputation that stretches way beyond Samui for being the most elegant and well-preserved place on the island. Lined by old wooden Chinese shop-houses, interspaced with a few modern buildings that match the tone, it retains a distinctly Mediterranean feel. This has probably got a lot to do with the fact that it was the main French outpost on the island for many years.
Mixed in among the shops are several boutiques, selling high quality clothing and jewellery. There are also some dive shops in the area, offering scuba lessons or day dives to sites in the famous Ang Thong Marine Park, Sail Rock or Koh Tao Island.
