A perfect location in a quiet New Forest village between Lymington and Beaulieu, ideal for walkers, cyclists or anyone looking for some peace and quiet. It's only a two minute walk into the forest, as well as being ideally placed for visiting Beaulieu, Lymington and the Isle of Wight.

The accommodation is situated in an annexe building, ensuring privacy, and comprises of a large double bedroom with dining area, sofa, separate bathroom with a bath and shower (over the bath) and separate kitchenette. The bedroom is furnished with a 4'6” bed and a sofa-bed (an additional single foam floor mattress/bed can be provided if required) wardrobe, table, chairs, Freeview 22" flat screen TV/DVD. Free WiFi and mains USB sockets are provided too.

The kitchenette has a kettle (plus tea/coffee and fresh milk), microwave, toaster and fridge. Extensive continental Breakfasts are included and you will find your fridge well stocked with a range of yoghurts/ croissants/ homemade bread and jams/ bagels and smoked salmon/ fuit and of course homemade cake, all of which are topped up during your stay. Before you arrive you will be asked your preferences so these can be included.

The accommodation is ideally suited for 2 adults, perhaps with 1 or 2 children. Weekly lets available, special price of 7 nights for the price of 6!

Recently refurbished accommodation, comprising of a large double bedroom with dining area and sofa (sofabed) with separate kitchenette and separate bathroom. Ideally suited for 2 people, however a sofa bed can be used to increase capacity to 4 or single mattresses can be added for children (Only £5 extra each night per child!). Linen and bath towels provided. continental breakfasts are provided and are topped up during your stay. Arrival times are from 14.00 and check out at 11.00 please...thank you!

The England region

The New Forest is an area of outstanding beauty with open countryside freely inhabited by donkeys, ponies and cattle. As a national park the whole area is open for visitors to enjoy. Within the park the picturesque towns of Brockenhurst, Lymington and Beaulieu are all worth a visit and are all within 15 minutes of Defoe House. Once visited you'll understand why people are drawn to this area year after year.


Defoe House is ideally placed for exploring the New Forest with many attractions nearby. Children's activities include Moors Valley, Paultons Park, the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Longdown Dairy Farm, bicycle hire, Lymington salt water baths (summer only!), kayaking on the Beaulieu River and numerous riding stables to name but a few. Garden-lovers can treat themselves to the delights of Exbury, Spinners and Furzey Gardens, all of which are within 30 minutes from the property. For those wishing to visit the Isle of Wight, the ferry terminal is only 5 minutes away in Lymington. Further afield the historic dockyard of Portsmouth and also Bournemouth and Winchester are under an hour away.
