Further details outdoors

There is a small, secluded courtyard garden that overlooks a bowling green. Perfect to sip a glass of wine and listen to the gentle click-clacking of the bowls woods.

The cottage is tucked away at the end of a close. You can pull the car up to the cottage to unload and there is ample parking nearby. Permits can be provided for you to park in residents bays, where available.

Further details

The stairs are narrow and steep, so care has to be taken, especially with the very old or very young, although a stair gate can be provided.

The West Sussex region

According to the Met Office, Bognor Regis is the sunniest town in England, with an average of over 1900 sunshine hours per year. Clouds are often held behind the South Downs, which are easily accessible for walkers, from where you can enjoy some stunning scenery. Close by are Chichester and Arundel, both of which are rich in history. Slightly further afield but still within an hours drive are Portsmouth and Brighton.

Goodwood is a short drive away, hosting Glorious Goodwood, The Festival of Speed, and Goodwood revival. There are plenty of golf courses nearby, including a challenging links course at Littlehampton.

Trains from Bognor Regis go into London Victoria in around an hour and a half.

Bognor Regis

Bognor Regis is a traditional seaside town, providing everything you need for a peaceful and enjoyable break. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to suit every taste. There is a long, flat promenade for a quiet stroll, enjoying the sea air, or why not take a ride in the land train? Hotham park is close by, with miniature golf, miniature railway, and a boating lake. Butlins is within walking distance, for which day passes can be purchased.

Every year there is the Rox festival, a free music event spanning three days where you can enjoy some up-and-coming local bands, and a headline act on Sunday.

Why not visit the Witterings? Probably one of the best beaches in the UK.
