All facilities at The Musket Cove Island Resort within an easy walking distance are available to guests staying at Nai Kawakawa. These include bikes, yachts and kyaks for hire. Also on offer are fishing, snorkelling para sailing and island hopping trips. There is a 9 hole golf course with clubs available for hire.
The large swimming pool within the Musket Cove Resort is also available to Nai Kawakawa guests. Parents should be aware that Fijian regulations do not require swimming pools to be fenced therefore the pool at Nai Kawakawa or any others on Malolo Lailai are not fenced.
The Mamanuka Group of islands are recognised for their sheltered water and lower than average rainfall. Most islans within the group support holiday resorts which can be accessed by booking daily island hopping trips.
An abundance of coral reefs and tropical fish make snorkelling a popular activity and internationally renowned surf breaks attract surfers from around the world.
The area enjoys all year round tropical weather with the winter season, June -July August, known as the dry season enjoying temperatures around 24c to 28c. Summer temperatures, January-February-March, rise to around 27c to 32c with tropical down pours some afternoons and nights.
Malolo Lailai is an island 15 km out from Port Denarau and is seviced daily by the Malolo Cat a scenic trip which takes 1 hour. The quick cat departs Port Denarau daily at 7:30am, 10:30am, 2:00pm and 5:30pm with return trips departing Musket Cove at 5:45am, 9:45am, 12:15pm and 4:00pm.
There are three resorts on the island; Musket Cove, Plantation Island and Lomani, offering a choice of bars and restaurants along with two small supermarkets and a wide variety of tropical island activities.
It is a popular yachting destination with boat harbour, marina and adjacent Island Bar where you can BBQ your own selection of food on one of the six BBQ's provided.Casual outdoor dining furniture surrounds the bar while crockery, cutlery and condiments are provided by the friendly bar staff.
