We are in the heart of the Riviera di Ponente, 15 minutes from the sea but surrounded by the hills of ancient olive trees . Name of the village is Pietrabruna.
The Riviera is well known for its mild climate. Summers are always warm. However, its altitude (350 m) ensures that the nights are almost always cool. The winters are never very cold. The temperatures are very comfortable in spring and autumn.
The house is located in Pietrabruna, 15 minutes from San Lorenzo al Mare, just 25 minutes from Imperia, 40 minutes from Sanremo and Alassio, less than an hour away from the French Riviera, distance Menton, Nice and Monte Carlo, and a 'hours from Genoa.
Pietrabruna is a typical village of the Ligurian located 350 meters above sea level. Its narrow "alleyways" (typical Ligurian medieval alleys) connect across the country. There is still some old house surmounted by ancient slabs of slate, some with bas-reliefs.
The small church of the 12th century by St. Gregory is one of the oldest Roman monuments in the region. The parish church, dedicated to St. Matthew (St. Matthew), it was rebuilt in 1844 and is in the neoclassical style. The Oratory of the Brotherhood is a reconstruction dating back at least to the seventeenth century, on the site of an earlier original building.
The economy of Pietrabruna is based on the cultivation of flowers (anemones, ranunculus and ruscus) and harvested olives to produce the excellent extra virgin olive oil ..
