Bishops Mews is a 3 storey, luxury, self-catering townhouse located right in the centre of the historic City of Wells. Tucked away from the main road in a quiet Mews location, it is perfect for weekend breaks or short getaways. Within a short walk to the shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes, there is also a local market held every Wednesday and Saturday in the town square, where you find fantastic local produce.

There is so much to see and do and the location is perfect for exploring the surrounding areas. The medieval City of Wells lies on the southern side of the Mendips with the mystic Somerset Levels stretching out to the South and West. Wells also has many historical landmarks including the Cathedral, the Bishop' s Palace and Vicar's Close. Bath and Bristol are both approximately 40 minutes drive away, where you will find a wealth of shops and plenty of history and Culture. The spiritual town of Glastonbury is only 7 miles away or if you want outlet shopping then Clarks Village is only 8 miles away in the town of Street.

The popular Millfield School is only 8 miles away and Wells Cathedral School is located in the centre of town, so Bishop's Mews makes an ideal base for exeat weekends or mid-term breaks.

Ground floor has fully equipped kitchen with granite worktops, ceramic hob, double oven, integrated fridge/freezer, integrated dishwasher, microwave oven

Living room/dining room beautifully furnished with good quality furniture, including comfy sofa, oak dining table, large flat-screen TV with free view, DVD player and free wi-fi.

Washer/dryer is provided in separate utility area.

Downstairs cloakroom with WC.

First storey has two bedrooms - one with double bed and one with single bed. A good quality, full-sized single inflatable mattress can be provided for additional person if required.

Family bathroom is also located on first storey with bathtub and overhead shower.

Second storey has the master bedroom with kingsized bed, and en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower.

All bedrooms have built in wardrobes and plenty of storage space.

Luxury bedlinen by The White Company is provided along with luxury towels.

Wells is a beautiful, medieval city nestling on the southern side of the Mendips with mystic Somerset Levels stretching away to the south and west. It has many historical landmarks including the Cathedral, Bishop's Palace and Vicar's Close. Wells is an excellent base for exploring the surrounding Somerset countryside. The historic City of Bath is only 40 minutes drive away as is the City of Bristol. The spiritual town of Glastonbury with it's Tor and Abbey are only 7 miles away. You can also visit Cheddar Gorge and Caves which are approx 7 miles away and Wookey Hole Caves and Attractions are only 2 miles away.


Wells is probably best known for it's beautiful Cathedral and The Bishop's Palace. There are plenty of tours, during the busy holiday periods, along with local murder mystery or treasure hunts. There are plenty of country walks. along with some fantastical local country pubs all serving great food

Wells has lots to see and do, some great boutique shops and highly regarded restaurants. You will also find some well known High Street shops, such as Starbucks, Waterstones, Boots, Ask, etc. There is a Co-op Supermarket in the High Street and Tesco is a short walk away. There is currently a Morrisons and a Waitrose under construction.
