The incredibly long history of Larnaca has given it many impressive historical sites, which bring to life its rich and varied cultural legacy. The city also has a number of museums where you can learn more about the people who have lived here over the centuries. The city and its port are also a living attraction, where you can wander through narrow streets, past centuries-old buildings and soak up the atmosphere of this ancient place. Larnaca has many traditional and modern restaurants and bars.
Summer is the best time to visit Larnaca, when blue skies dominate and the gentle cool sea breezes along the coast help keep the heat in check. This is the prime season for sunbathing and swimming in the sea, with daily temperatures averaging above 30°C. The swimming season begins in April and lasts well into October. You won’t see much rain during the summer, just plenty of sun
